Terms of service
Last updated October 24, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Crystax Inc. ("we") for using Zap at zap.contact. By making a card or otherwise using Zap, you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data.
Your card and content
What you put on Zap stays yours. You give us permission to store it, show your card to the people you share it with, and make the copies needed to run Zap. You're responsible for your card being accurate and for having the right to use the names, logos and photos on it.
Fair use
Don't use Zap to pretend to be someone else, to send spam, to harass people, to break the law or anyone's rights, to collect other people's data in bulk, or to disrupt or probe the service. We may remove content, change misleading card addresses, or switch off cards and accounts that break these rules.
People you save
The contacts in your list come from people who chose to share with you. Use them lawfully: for example, follow the rules on calls, texts and marketing email (such as the TCPA and CAN-SPAM in the United States) when you get in touch.
Card addresses
A card address (like zap.contact/yourname) can be corrected for a day and is then permanent, so printed cards and stickers keep working. You don't own the address; we may refuse or reclaim addresses that are misleading, offensive or infringe someone's rights.
Price
Making, sharing and saving cards is free. We may offer paid extras later, such as printed cards; their prices and terms will be shown before you pay.
Ending
You can delete your cards or account at any time. We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these terms, and we may change or stop parts of Zap; if we shut Zap down, we'll give you notice and a way to export your people first.
Disclaimers
Zap is provided "as is" and "as available". We work to keep it running and accurate but don't promise that it will always be available, error-free, or that scanned cards are read correctly; check details before relying on them.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Crystax Inc. is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of Zap. Our total liability for any claim about Zap is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US $50.
Indemnity
If someone makes a claim against us because of content you put on Zap or your breaking these terms, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of that claim.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state where Crystax Inc. has its principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before going to court, contact us so we can try to resolve the problem informally.
Changes
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top and, for important changes, give notice on Zap before they apply. Using Zap after that means you accept the new terms.
