How to share your contact between iPhone and Android

iPhones swap contacts with NameDrop and AirDrop, and Android phones use Quick Share, but neither works with the other. A card link works with both.

The built-in ways, and where they stop

NameDrop and AirDrop: iPhone to iPhone only. Quick Share: Android to Android, plus some Windows PCs. Sending a contact file in a text works across both, but it arrives as an attachment many people never open.

A link that works on every phone

Make a free card at zap.contact. It gets a short link and a QR code. Show the code, tap an NFC sticker, or text the link: the other person opens your card in their browser and taps Save contact, on iPhone or Android.

If they want, they can send their details back from the same page, and they arrive in your list.

Texting your card

Zap prepares the text with your card link and opens Messages or WhatsApp on your phone; you tap Send. It comes from your own number, so the person knows who it's from.

Takes a minute. No app and no sign-up, for you or the people you meet.
